![]() What I say is look at the skills and decide which you'd benefit most from. I'd consider going for a Windows Server exam, assuming you'll be working on Windows Server? Sec+ and Server+ weren't so bad, just a bit too abstract and academic. I've also completed a number of certs from other vendors and I personally find that the time spent on CompTIA yielded less value (useful knowledge) than most. I've done the A+, watched maybe 5-6 hours total worth of Server+ and spent a good amount of time on Security+ (literally couldn't afford the exam fee at the time). There aren't many things you can actively do during your evenings or weekends to further your career. Would really enjoy hearing some of your feedback, thanks!!ītw, sysadmin seems like a career path i am aiming for, i thought after this i could try doing a microsoft cert.Įdit: thanks guys for the info, we actually had a team meeting again today and were told that the company would pay for either net+ or sec+ and also the full mcsa of our choosing, not bad at all, so that is where I am going next! what did you guys think of the other comptia cert exams? my boss said there is plenty more $ around for me to take more certs in the future though. I would be kind of bummed to take that cert and find out that it is basically worthless. ![]() ![]() my employer will pay for the cert cost so obviously I'll go for it but I was just curious as to what your thoughts were. i think the most attainable one in the shortest amount of time would be Server+ and he agreed that would qualify, or any cert really besides the A+.īut people seem to give that cert EPIC amounts of sh*t, and sometimes even say any of the comptia certs aren't really highly regarded in the industry, a couple people have even told me they think the server+ is a total joke. My boss told me if I get an "enterprise" cert he will bump me up to the next pay grade since I have had my hands on enterprise stuff for a while now. * uploading 10M file to the cloud for VIP users.Be honest with me, I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on the CompTIA certs. * export flowchart map to pdf/png/jpg/svg file The branch is sticked on the screen when the main mindmap is moving. * floating up a branch of current mindmap.
